William David Marriott (Bill), born on June 15, 1943 in the backseat of a 32' Ford Coup near Morgan Utah, passed away July 6th 2016 from complications of leukemia. Bill was preceded in death by his eternal sweetheart Martha Kaye Sperry. Bill is survived by his children Todd, Michele (Phillip) Taylor, and Ryan (Kaylene), as well as his siblings Jim, Margo, John, Susan, Richard, Bruce, Janice and Cheryl. Preceded in death by his brother Gilbert. He graduated from Ben Lomond High School and BYU and played football for BYU both offensively/defensively.
Bill is dearly loved by his family including 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was affectionately recognized as a well-known tease. More than not he could be found sidetracked to whatever lonesome dirt road he came across. He explored many new mountain tops, was a Uintah spelunker and trout rivers were his playground. He was always willing to drop whatever he was doing, driving hours to help anyone.
We remember his righteous example of fortitude and strength and more specifically his fervent testimony of the Savior and the restored gospel. He was tough, tenacious never shying from what had to be accomplished. He was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and proved faithful. We love him and wish him well as returns home.
