William James Morse “Jim”

October 22, 1941 ~ November 19, 2014

“Together Again”

William James Morse, 73, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 of cancer.  He was born on October 22, 1941 in Ogden, the son of Floyd and Erma Wallace Morse.  He lived in Gardner, Kansas for 30 years until he moved to Sunset to be with his family.

He married Sharon Kirk in June of 1959 in Ogden and they were later divorced.  Jim married Barbara in April of 1984 in Ogden.  Barbara passed away on November 18, 2009.

He served in the US Air Force for four years.

Jim worked as a lineman electrician.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Jim loved to garden, especially growing tomatoes.  He also loved to make clocks and woodworking.  He enjoyed fishing and building computers.

Jim is survived by his sons, Ken (Wendy) Morse, Riverdale; David (Ethel) Morse, Ogden; Rick Morse, WA; and Floyd Morse, CA; stepsons, Michael Bloom and Bruce Bloom; and stepdaughter, Teressa Jans; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother, Keith; and sisters, Ranae and Colleen.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 24, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington.  Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
