Willie Montablo Salinas

Willie Montablo Salinas, 83, passed away on February 19, 2018. Willie was born in Wilson County Floresville, TX, on November 22, 1934 to Augustina Montablo and Willie Salinas, Sr.

He moved to Roy, UT, with his mother and step-father Jesus Rosas at age 16. Willie hired on at HAFB Clearfield UT at age 17 and retired after 38 years of service.

Willie met the love of his life, Orla “Lola” Morfin and they were married for 60 years. Willie and Lola moved to Ogden where they raised their four kids. Willie was a great mechanic, loved to fish, hunt, go camping, and take long drives to the mountains with his wife.

Willie is survived by his four children, Barbara Webb, Beatrica Salinas, Willie (Jeana) Salinas, and Gilbert Salinas; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lola; his mother, step-father, brother, Daniel Salinas; half-sisters, Victoria Guerrero and Fernanda Gutierrez; and two grandsons, Joshua Salinas and Spencer Salinas.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
