Wilma Delores Henson Cook
1937~2011
Wilma Henson Cook, our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister passed away peacefully at her home in Layton, on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 after a seven year long battle with Multiple Myeloma.
She was born June 2, 1937 in Centre, Alabama to Fred A. and Helen D. Stone Henson.
She married Thomas R. Cook on May 18, 1956 in Ogden, Utah. They traveled with the U.S. Air Force and saw the world for 21 years. After retirement they settled in Layton, Utah.
Wilma always made everywhere we went home. She was a wonderful cook and homemaker. Together they had two children, Pam and Tom. She was a wonderful grandmother to her six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her sister Phyllis (Les) Tueller, brother Richard Henson, daughter Pamela G. Calton, son Thomas R. Cook, six grandchildren, Rochelle, Christopher, Jeffrey, Lyndsey, Jace, Matthew and two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Aubrie.
Preceded in death by her husband Thomas R. Cook, parents and brother Gerald Henson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Saturday from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
Our family wishes to thank Hospice for the wonderful care they extended in her last days. We also want to thank the great people at Curo; Charlee, Coundy, Susan, Josie, Joanna and Mike.
