NORTH OGDEN – Wilma Erickson Dennis, 88, passed away at her home on Sunday, February 14, 2016. Wilma was born on August 13, 1927 in Logan, Utah to Golden and Aldena Erickson. She had three siblings, Elmer, Lynn and a sister who died at birth.
Wilma married Wallace Hyrum Dennis, Jr. on June 14, 1947 at West Point Military Academy and they were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple. Together they enjoyed over 60 years of a wonderful life, during which time they were blessed with five children, David, Wayne, Brent, Annette, and Jean, along with 12 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren. Her children and grandchildren were the joy of her life.
As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served as a Primary teacher, Relief Society instructor, and a music coordinator for the many early Branches they were able to organize throughout the Midwest.
Wilma provided a home nurtured with cleanliness, humor, and love. She delighted in her yard decorated with flowers and trees.
Wilma is survived by her five children, 12 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving and eternal husband, her parents, her elder brother, and her sister.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Ben Lomond 10th Ward Chapel, 3350 North 1050 East, North Ogden. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary.
