Wilma (Billie) Hansen

KAYSVILLE – Wilma (Billie) Hansen, 75, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015.

She was born September 20, 1939 in Salt Lake City, Utah the daughter of Walter Gustav and Florence Bodine Elsner.

Billie married Scott M. Hansen on April 25, 1962 in Ely, Nevada.

Mom was a founding member of Yellow Creek Ranch Corporation, and served as Treasurer for over 30 years. She was also a member of the Oakridge Country Club and the Evanston Chamber of Commerce.

She liked gardening, cats, drawing and had a great love for music. Mom had an exceptionally soft heart for cats. Throughout her life she rescued and adopted many stray cats. Mom loved going to movies, out to eat and spending time with her family. All holidays and special occasions were spent at Mom’s house.

Surviving are her son Perry (Michele), granddaughter Lauren, grandson Drew, daughter Julie and granddaughter, Veronika Hansen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott M. Hansen.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 20, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
