Winona Marie Ransom, 84, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2010.

She was born August 4, 1926 in Weston, Idaho to George Victor and Mildred Cooper Hansen.

On April 8, 1948, Winona married Reese Ransom in the Logan LDS Temple.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served as a Primary teacher, in the Relief Society Presidency and as a visiting Teacher. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

Winona worked at the IRS for ten years.

She enjoyed crocheting, laughing and making friends where ever she went.

Winona is survived by her husband, Reese; four children, Ross (Sandy) Ransom, St. George; Paul (Carol) Ransom, Twin Falls, ID; Carol (Craig) Kelly, Huntsville, AL; Wanda Lee (Scott) Goodrich, Bend, OR; 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Marco Hansen and a sister, Evelyn Checketts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a baby girl, a son, Scott, and a brother, Carl Hansen. i³Œ@ Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 9th at 11 a.m. at the Taylor 1st Ward Chapel, 3271 West 2550 South.

The family will meet with friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquisti³Œfs Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church house.

Interment, West Weber Cemetery.
