Witney Cay Wayment

June 24, 1984 — December 20, 2023

Brigham City

Witney Cay Christopher Wayment, loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend passed away peacefully at her home in Brigham City, Utah on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.

Witney was born on June 24, 1984 in Mesa, Arizona to Kent and Lynne Christopher. Witney was born with a light and innocence that was unmatched. She lived in a world of princesses and make-believe and loved all things girly. She started taking ballet lessons at a young age and immediately fell in love with it. She danced through life well into adulthood, inspiring her own daughters to love dance. She taught dance classes part time at Momentum Dance Company. Witney graduated in 2002 from Davis High School in Kaysville, UT, and went on to get her CNA license. She worked passionately as a CNA in the labor and delivery unit and loved being able to help mothers bring their new babies into the world. She planned to go back to school in the fall of 2024 to pursue her dream of becoming a registered nurse and returning to work in labor and delivery.

In 2007 Witney met Kory Wayment, and they were married on May 13, 2008 in the Salt Lake City Temple. On June 1, 2011 they welcomed their first child, Maura into the world, followed by Walt in 2015, Nora in 2016, and Hugh in 2019. Witney was the most patient and kind mother, always there for her children no matter what. She loved doing activities with her kids, and would always get in the water with them when they were swimming, or play with them on their video games. She and Kory threw their kids wonderful birthday parties, took them on amazing vacations, and always made sure they felt safe and loved.

Witney is preceded in death by her grandparents, Burnell and Marilyn Cordner, and Chris and Caryl Christopher; as well as her father- and mother-in-law, Gene and Diane Wayment.

Witney is survived by her husband of 15 years, Kory Wayment, and her children Maura (12), Walt (8), Nora (7), and Hugh (4). She is also survived by her parents Kent and Lynne Christopher, and six siblings: Elisha (Matt), Jordan (Andrea), Garett, Taylor (Michele), Kellie (Garrett), and Daynna (Keegan), as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 620 N. 300 E, Brigham City, UT. A viewing will be held before the funeral from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the same location.
