Yaeko Yanagitani

YAEKO YANAGITANI OGDEN- Yaeko Yanagitani passed away on Friday, November 18, 2011 surrounded by her family. Yaeko was born on October 10, 1921 to Kamezo and Saki Watanabe in San Francisco, California. She lived in Wyoming and Nevada until 1929. She graduated from Ogden High School and was a loving and devoted homemaker. She was a member of the Ogden Japanese Christian Church. She enjoyed cooking and visiting with all of her friends. She is survived by her husband Katsuyoshi Yanagitani, Ogden; one son Brian Yanagitani, Ogden; one sister Mitsue Watanabe Miya, Montebello, CA. She was recently preceded in death by her daughter Elizabeth. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Family will meet with friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
