Yuvona Crowther Broby
April 13, 1934 ~ November 24, 2014
Yuvona Crowther Broby passed away on Monday, November 24, 2014 in Yuma, Arizona, where she spent the final eight months of her life with loving family. She was born on April 13, 1934 to Ellis and Lega Walker Crowther. Yuvona is survived by her four children, Wes (Carolee) Broby, Danville, CA; Kim (Barbara) Broby, Yuma, AZ; Ricky Broby, Brigham City, UT; and Holly (Dennis) Larsen, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; 14 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene, her sister, and one great-grandson.
Yuvona’s dad was a rancher and, consequently, Yuvona had a love for all animals. Oftentimes, her home was referred to as the Broby Zoo because of the variety of pets her children were allowed to drag into the house. She loved knitting, crocheting, quilting, and made numerous quilts, dolls, doilies, etc., for her grandchildren. It was only when she lost most of her eyesight that she had to give it up. She was a great lover of books and an avid reader.
Yuvona and Eugene settled in Brigham City to raise their family. Her children were raised in the same home were Yuvona and her sister, Betty, were born. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. Yuvona was loved by all who knew her. Right up to the end of her life her concern was always for others and she constantly was able to find gratitude even in the most difficult circumstances. Yuvona will truly be missed.
