Zulah Fidellis Dark
KAYSVILLE – Zulah Fidellis Dark, 83, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Apple Tree Assisted Living in Kaysville surrounded by her family. She was born August 7, 1934 in Beaumont, Texas the daughter of Herbert William Patterson, Sr. and Zulah Bell Patterson.
Zulah was raised in Nederland, Texas until age 17 when she married her sweetheart Clyde on April 19, 1952 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Clyde was an airman in the United States Air Force. After the Korean War they moved to southeast Texas where they lived for 32 years. Zulah moved to Kaysville in 1998 where she resided until her death.
Zulah joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on May 28, 1966. She was an Eastern Star with the Masons. She has held various positions, in the Branch and Ward including a councilor and president in the MIA, ward librarian, visiting teacher supervisor and councilor in the Relief Society. She was also a wonderful support to Clyde as her served as a scout leader and Bishop.
Zulah loved being surrounded by her family. She also cherished visits from her friends and neighbors. She loved to read and being part of the neighborhood book club.
Surviving are her son Clyde Bob Dark, Jr., Kaysville; daughter Debra Ann Nope, Kaysville, seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and sister Francis Jones of Nederland, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Bob Dark, Sr., granddaughter, Kristina Nope Curtis, her parents and brothers Herbert, Judge, Morgan, Terry and sister MaryLou.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Main Street LDS Chapel, 500 S. Main Street, Kaysville, Utah. Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main St., Kaysville and Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the church.
Interment will be at the Kaysville City Cemetery, Monday January 8, 2018 at 11 a.m.
