ERNESTO “ERNIE” ISCASIANO LOPEZ
1948-2016

Ernesto “Ernie” Icasiano Lopez passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends on Wednesday morning, October 19, 2016.  Ernie was born in Manila, Philippines on August 8, 1948.  He met his wife, Rosie Chua in 1967, married for 46 years, and had one daughter Jinkee.

Ernie immigrated from the Philippines over 40-years ago and brought to America his vision, work ethic, and drive to live and fulfill the American dream. He retired from L3 Communications as an engineer after a long and illustrious career that allowed him to travel and see the world.

Ernie was an avid and adventurous soul who explored and lived his life to the fullest, taking on new challenges with vigor and enthusiasm. He traveled and explored the world with his wife, Rosie, whom he shared many wonderful memories together. Ernie was a committed husband, father, brother, and grandfather who loved his family dearly. He was a generous and kind man who was loved by many and will be remembered for his quiet demeanor and internal strength.

He is survived by his wife of 46-years Rosie, his daughter, Jinkee, grandchildren, Gabe and India, sister, Lettie, brother, Rick, and son-in-law, Matthew.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 11:00AM at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 North 400 East, Bountiful, Utah. Viewing and visitation with the family will be on Saturday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM prior to the funeral service. Interment will be at Memorial Lake View Cemetery after the funeral service, 1640 Lakeview Drive, Bountiful, Utah.
