Mary Lou Moulton Welch passed away on July 7, 2016. Mary Lou was born in Heber City, Utah on February 2, 1952 the only daughter to John Barton and Anita Jane Moulton.

Mary Lou graduated from Wasatch High School in 1970 and attended Ricks College. She married her eternal sweetheart, Stephen Welch, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on September 29, 1972.

Mary Lou and Steve lived in Kaysville and Farmington, until they purchased their home in Woods Cross in May 1976. They raised all of their children in Woods Cross until they moved to Syracuse in December 2005.

Mary Lou was taught at a young age the principle of hard work and service to others. She grew up on a farm and enjoyed being around animals. Mary Lou was a great influence to everyone she met. She never went anywhere that she didn't run into someone she knew. Mary Lou was the Woods Cross City Mother of the year in 2005, however to her family she was always Mother of the Year every year.

Mary Lou had a unique love for those with special needs and angels to her Heavenly Father. She retired as a bus assistant from Davis School District and loved all of her “kids” she worked with. She taught her own kids to develop a love for these special kids as well. She was active in her kids' and grandkids' lives and loved attending their school programs and watching them succeed.

Mary Lou served in many church callings including Stake Young Women's President, Primary Teacher, Ward Young Women's President, Relief Society President, Compassionate Service Leader and Visiting Teacher. Mary Lou always did her visiting teaching the first week of the month. Mary Lou loved her children and grandchildren and taught them to live Christ like lives and how to serve others.

She is survived by her husband, three children: Jenefer (Jamy) Reudter, Stephen (Connie) Welch, Catherine (John) Sumner; her nine grandchildren: Mallory, Gabby, Morgan, Shiloh, Phebe, Sophie, Saelim, Tristen and Tomas; her three brothers: Jason (Barbara) Moulton, Larry (Sheila) Moulton and Charles (Fran) Moulton, Foster Sister Willy James and her mother in law Caryol Welch. She was preceded in death by her parents John Barton and Anita Moulton and her father in law Samuel Welch.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the LDS Church 1625 South 1100 West, Syracuse, Utah. Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment at the Heber City Cemetery in Heber City, Utah.
