Robert Whittle

Robert Eugene Whittle “Bob” returned to his heavenly home Friday, March 12, 2021, in Layton, Utah. He was a beloved and devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Bob was born in Salt Lake City at LDS hospital to Robert Eldred Whittle and Aline Whittle on May 5, 1949. Bob served a full-time mission in Italy which influenced his love of travel abroad. Bob married Martha Marie Hayes Whittle on February 12, 2005, and sealed in the Bountiful, Utah Temple on April 22, 2006.

Bob is survived by his wife Martha, his sister Susane Wright (Dale), brother Jim, Brother Allen (Barbara), and brother Ron, brother-in-laws; Russell Hall, Ron Bailor, and Eddie Tomlinson, step-children; Crystal Page (Brad), Caralee Dibben (Clint), Amy Martin, Seth Poorte, grandchildren; Kiley Ballingham (D’Esmund), Ashley Sharkey, Jayden Sharkey, McCoy Sharkey, Brealyn Sharkey, Craig Dibben, Camrey Martin, Brennen Martin, and Bailey Martin. Bob also had many nieces and nephews that he loved and cared for dearly. He was preceded in death by his Father Robert and Mother Aline, sisters; Annette Hall, Isabell Bailor, June Tomlinson, and two nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.  Friends may visit with family from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary prior to the service.  Interment,  Kaysville City Cemetery.
